BHM- day 2 - 2 triumphs so far..... | trixiegirl's Blog

So far today has gone fairly smoothly.  I got up early and vacuumed and spent some time here on EP.

I am pretty impressed with myself today because before he left for work my boyfriend said some stuff that pissed me off.  Nothing major, and if I wasn't having major PMS symptoms, I wouldn't even have been bothered.  That being said, I can see my first victory of the day.  I tend to grab something to eat when I am angry.  I think it's my way of stuffing down the yelling that I would like to do, but rarely proves to be prudent. (I realize from all the hurtful things that were needlessly said to me over the years, that once it's out of your mouth, there's no taking it back).  Anyway, I didn't eat other than a small protien shake for breakfast.  I also had some water.  I also walked 1 mile on the Walk away the pounds 5 mile DVD.  The miles are 12 minutes each, so that's a little fast for my stamina at this point, but I actually kept up most of the way thru.  When I couldn't keep up, I realized as long as I kept moving I would be OK.  That is a monumental victory for me.  Being ever the perfectionist (which I realize now, is just an excuse not to start...), if I can't completely finish something at 100 %, I ususally don't get started, or blow it off mid-way feeling like a looser.  This in turn causes me to eat.  What a crazy pattern I have set for myself.  Well, today I realize the only way I am a looser is if I don't even try.  As long as I am making strides to better myself, doing the best I can is all I can ask.  Ironically, it's all I would ask of anyone else.  But me....no it's gotta be perfect.  Why is it so hard to be your own friend?

Anyway, after spending sometime out in the sun, I had a nice little lunch and yes, some more water.  Who is this crazy person?  (I don't know but I'm starting to like her....alot!)

Had some fish, rice and veggies for dinner-  prepared "mostly" healthy.  It was actually quite tasty.  And so far, I have had no real cravings for candy/cookies etc.  I have been having a scoop of vanilla protien powder mixed with water mixed in a large glass with ice..  It's only 70 calories and it seems to stave off hunger, boredom and my sweet tooth cravings.  It seems to be working- huh- who knew I could kind of enjoy a fake milkshake.

I would like to try and fit in another mile of walking, but if I don't  am OK with it.  For the time being, I realize I should try and get everything fitness related out of the way by dinner time.  I seem to have no energy left after cooking and doing dishes. I am sure the energy will increase in the next few days.  I just need to be patient (not my forte). Who ever said patience is a virtue, never had 100 pounds to loose.........
